Work permits and performance licences if you employ a child and chaperone licences if you have been appointed to accompany a child or young person.

Children and young people byelaws and risk assessments

If you want to employ a young person you will need to check the regulations and byelaws of employing children. You will also need to complete a risk assessment to ensure your work place is safe for the child.

Child employment permit

If you want to employ a young person between 13 and 16 years old, you must apply for a work permit.

Standard child performance and activities licence

If you're a running an event where a child will be performing, you must apply for a child performance licence.

Chaperone

If you are appointed to protect, control and care for children whilst they are modelling, performing on stage or taking part in TV or film, you will need a licence.
